We are fortunate...

Thankfulness

Seeing the sun rise
In the morning, be grateful
Loved ones are with you

We are fortunate
To be blessed with little things
Ignored by others

They crave for solace
Which so often escape them
But we are lucky

So common for most
Looking upwards to the sky
We offer our thanks!

A Haiku inspired by Poet United's - The Thursday Think Tank No. 25

Yes!

As Oscar said, and you so perfectly illustrate in this piece:

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."

Ms Adams (G.Territory),
It's great for you to come by. Went thru your blogs. My, what a treasure trove - student's microfiction, paintings/poetry, meme line-ups, pics/poetry, Zanzibar! Gosh! Just great. Will make regular visits. Thanks again!

The art blogs are amazing. I actually have scrapbooks and the doodle once in a while.

You pic makes me jealous. Paris is the city Rudi and I REALLY want to visit.

Maybe in 2011. BIG MAYBE.

Ninot Ma'am,
Scrapbooks, doodling? That's great! The art blogs are giving me ideas too, ie a painting accompanied with a haiku. Thinking of creating a new blog just for that.

The mind has a way of making things happen.Thinking hard on it will influence the sub-conscious. What with your French, it's ideal! You'll be there!

We so often overlook the many gifts within each and every day... yet we are very 'fortunate to be blessed with little things'.

Nice write!
